A serious incident happened in Dhërmi, where a 43-year-old man killed the receptionist he had hired at the hotel, where he was co-owner with his mother-in-law, and then disappeared his body.
The author, Gerald Shehu, is alleged to have taken a hostage around 00:30 on Thursday and then fired a firearm at Eraldo Nevruzi, whose body has not yet been found by the blue uniforms.
The witnesses said that they heard shots while the checks carried out in the hotel revealed blood stains but not the body of 31-year-old Eraldo Nevruzi. From the inspection of the security cameras, the investigators could not see the event since the place where the conflict took place was not visible. The author, who lived in England, according to the blue uniforms, moved the body hiding it and then left for Greece through the border point of the Neck of the World.
He was then handcuffed at one of the Greek airports as he was waiting to board a plane to England. Meanwhile, the police is cooperating with the Greek authorities for his extradition, as well as conducting checks to find the body of the 31-year-old. The cause is not yet known, but the investigations so far have focused on the connections between Gerald Shehu and Eraldo Nevruzi, who, in addition to the fact that they were friends, had also lived in England. This has caused the investigators to raise suspicions that they may have been involved in drug trafficking, which then led to the conflict between them. But the possibility is not excluded that another reason was the business they would open in Dhërmi. So far, 29 people have been accompanied and after giving their testimonies they were released.
