Former judge Gjin Gjoni, invited to the Dekalog show on DritareTV, spoke about his role during the Student Movement and his relationship with Azem Hajdari.
Gjoni remembered the figure of Azem Hajdari and expressed his sadness for his loss, emphasizing that his murder was a political act.
“I had a very good relationship with Azem Hajdari. He was a mischievous person and I experienced his murder with great sadness. It was heavy and sad, since he was the first leader of a political force,” said Gjoni.
He added that, although he was not part of the investigation into Hajdari’s file, he believes that his murder was not related to other conflicts.
“I was not part of his file, so I cannot speculate, but, based on the rumors, I can say that it was not a conflict-related murder. Yes, being closely linked to politics, it was undoubtedly a political murder,” Gjoni said.
The former judge also assessed that the event of Hajdari’s murder was used to create more speculation about conflicts and the involvement of criminal elements, but he remained convinced that the motive was political.
“The event was slightly exaggerated due to conflict issues and criminal elements, but it was undoubtedly a political murder,” Gjoni concluded.
