Albanians are found to be less happy than even the citizens of Russia. These are the data from the World Happiness Report for 2025, which was also distributed by former socialist minister Arben Malaj.
He takes a dig at his political colleagues, emphasizing that this very high level of unhappiness refutes any government and electoral propaganda, proving that one of the real reasons for the mass exodus of Albanians is the situation in which the country and they themselves find themselves.
“Hello, the happiness index should serve politicians. Albanians are less happy 5.4/10 than even Russians, with a level of 5.9/10. This very high level of unhappiness refutes any government demagogy and electoral propaganda.
The index shows the lack of happiness in the daily lives of Albanians.
The level of 5.4, lower than all other countries, explains the reasons for the disappointment and mass departure of Albanians from the country. Any embellished electoral propaganda shows the spiritual poverty of those who want to cover this miserable situation with beautiful words”, writes Arben Malaj.
According to the World Happiness Report 2025, citizens of other countries in our region also turn out to be happier than Albanian citizens. Finns turn out to be the happiest people in the world for the eighth year in a row.
