From 10:00 today, the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet is holding tributes in honor of Margarita Xhepa, the icon of Albanian cinematography who passed away on the morning of April 3 at the age of 91.
To bid farewell to one of the most prominent figures in the art world, family, friends, fellow travelers and ordinary citizens have gathered at the TKOB.
The well-known actor Ndriçim Xhepa, son of the great Margarita Xhepa, spoke to reporters where he explained that his mother ended her life in a normal way, despite some minor health problems.
He explained that the actress knew that she could not act in theater, but she had also dreamed of a film.
“She ended her life in a normal way despite having had some health problems in the last two months, the fatigue of the years takes its toll, but she had a strange nature, even when the conversation was interrupted, she said that she had no more opportunities, not even for the stage.
She had a desire. A dream that she could make another film, but I say that she ended it as God wanted, the last role she played in “Bolero in the Old People’s Home” coincided with life as the finale came.
The way she is being respected today is very important from people from different fields, from countless people from the public, the greatest pleasure that we and she get with her soul that leaves this world today.”
