“Two lives were lost with one bullet, Nina’s and mine,” said the 39-year-old Albanian, who shot his Romanian partner to death inside the apartment where they lived on Patroklou street in Kaminia, Greece.

Gentian Mino has claimed that he fired the gun by mistake while “harassing” his 29-year-old girlfriend, as the latter did not feel well when looking at the pistol.

He stated that on the morning of the tragic event, they were both sitting in the room on the carpet of the living room in front of the table, drinking and talking.

At one point, the Albanian confessed that Nina saw the pistol and did not feel well.

The 29-year-old didn’t want the gun in the house and didn’t want to see it in front of her.

She asked him to take it out of her sight and the Albanian claimed that his partner’s reaction seemed funny to him, so he decided to harass her even more, as he claims, by pointing the gun that he thought was safe.

But while the 39-year-old was joking, the gun he was holding went off, shooting the young woman to death. He immediately notified the police and the ambulance.

“What did I do; What did I do; I didn’t want it”, he repeated to the police who arrested him outside the house where he was waiting for them in a state of shock.

The 39-year-old claims that he and Nina were very much in love. He denies having abusive behavior towards her, as some neighbors have reported. The Albanian admits that as a couple they had some quarrels, but never violence. He even claims that their intense sex life probably disturbed some neighbors who complained.

It is learned that friends of the victim and her colleague Nina are collecting money for the transport of the body to Romania since the parents cannot afford the expenses.

Among them is the one accused of the murder, the Albanian Gentian Mino.

“This man in no way intended to kill, he is devastated and is experiencing deep feelings of grief and pain after the fatal bullet struck his life partner whom he intended to marry. If only he could turn back time, if he had never, as he says, bought that gun. He is remorseful and apologizes to the victim’s family”, said his lawyer Efi Somara.
