The Democratic Party opened its electoral campaign yesterday at “Mother Teresa” Square in Tirana.
As early as 19:00, a large number of supporters gathered to officially open the campaign.
Democratic leader Sali Berisha arrived at the square around 19:20, accompanied by senior representatives of the DP and Chris LaCivita.
The campaign was opened by the words of a teacher, a business representative, a student and a farmer. Then the campaign manager of the Democratic Party and the Alliance for a Greater Albania, Chris LaCivita, took the podium.
The former Trump advisor stated that the socialists, just like in America, will not be able to silence the opposition, and invited those present to vote for Berisha if they want hope to return.
“Who is ready to make Albania Greater? In 2024 in the US, the socialists tried to imprison Trump, but they failed. In 2025, here in Albania, the socialists want to imprison their opposition and they will fail. Why? Because they have nothing to say about the last 12 years. 12 years of crime? 12 years of drugs. They are 12 years of economic failures. Why vote for a party that has caused all the problems. Vote for Berisha. Bring back hope,” said Chris Lacivita.
After Lacivita, the leader of the democrats took the floor, who leveled accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama and briefly presented the government program, in case of victory.
