Two people have been arrested in Mirdita, after taking a 19-year-old hostage and keeping him locked in a garage. The citizens, Mateos Brozi and Ergys Tusha, have fallen into handcuffs.
The police clarified that the two people forcibly took the 19-year-old and kept him in the garage with the intention of stealing his money.
As material evidence, the amount of 220,000 lek that the arrested intended to steal from the 19-year-old, the vehicle they used and 2 mobile phones were seized.
“Within the coded police operation “Telefonata”, the Police services made it possible to identify and immediately arrest the suspected perpetrators of the case, citizens Mateos Brozi, 20 years old, resident of Rrëshen and Ergys Tusha, 19 years old, resident of Durrës.
Also, it was possible to find the amount of money stolen by violence, 220,000 ALL, which was seized together with the “Audi A4″ type vehicle, with which the 19-year-old was taken by force, and with his 2 mobile phones arrested”, says the police.

Immediately after the report of a 19-year-old citizen, that he was taken by force in the vehicle, by 2 other citizens, who, in order to get the money, had held him for several minutes, against his will, in the closed garage of a building in Rrëshen, and then left it on the street, the services of the Mirdita Police Station organized the work to identify and arrest those responsible.
As a result, within the coded police operation “Telefonata”, the Police services made it possible to immediately identify and arrest the suspected perpetrators of the case, citizens Mateos Brozi, 20 years old, resident of Rrëshen and Ergys Tusha, 19 years old, resident of Durres.
Also, it was possible to find the amount of money stolen by violence, 220,000 ALL, which was seized together with the “Audi A4” type vehicle, with which the 19-year-old was taken by force, and with his 2 mobile phones the arrested.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Lezhë, for further actions, for the criminal offenses “Illegal deprivation of liberty” and “Theft with violence”, committed in cooperation.
