The Minister of State for Relations with the Parliament, Elisa Spiropali, said that the disease has “captured” the opposition.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, she said that the opposition must find its way and itself, adding that this is not in the hands of the majority.

He said this when he was asked because the majority is not being tolerant towards the behavior of the opposition.

“What we see there is not a cause, it is a consequence. It is not the disease, it is a symptom. The disease is much more serious and very problematic. The opposition must find its way and itself. This does not belong to us. It is not our duty to determine who will rise from the chair of the Electoral Commission and who will sit in that chair.

We have agreed to set up a Parliamentary Commission on Electoral Reform issues and that is all we can do. It is neither an international norm nor a requirement of the EU, but we, with the awareness that we must come out of there with a reform and with some measures and reflections, have agreed to sit at that table,” she said.
