It is learned that a 4-year-old girl passed away at KKUK, where she was sent from the Regional Hospital of Gjakova, as she was in a serious state of health.
Kosovar media report that the minor’s family was told by doctors in Gjakova that she had injuries on her body, which she allegedly received from a beating by a minor, but after her death in the KKUK, another cause of death was mentioned which, according to them, the minor had an infection.
Days ago, Arjana Hajra from Gjakova, together with her daughter had decided to pay a visit to her brother, and had left her daughter outside to play with children, but later found her lying on the ground.
According to Hajra, the girl had told her that she had been beaten by the children of family members who had gone to visit them.
“I took the chick, she started crying. I told him what’s up, he said, I’m sorry, Jakupi with a board like this, and Sabija’s son beat me all over. She didn’t cry very well either. When she came, she couldn’t walk, ‘oh mom, my heart hurts’, I took her in the back and now as if I said no, I took her, she was just crying”, said Hajra, according to the newspaper Telegrafi.
The girl’s mother told the media that the deceased did not have the strength to stand, and had bruises on her lower back and swelling on her chest, the signs of which were also confirmed by doctors.
After the deterioration of the condition, the four-year-old girl was sent for treatment to the KKUK. But her mother claims she was given another cause, which unfortunately resulted in her death.
“In the middle of the night, the doctor called me to come into the room, where the chika was. I came in, I stayed with a pee and the doctor came, she’s treating me, oh my god, it’s not from being beaten, it’s got a big infection. “He was bleeding due to a big infection,” she added.
The cause of death from an infection is also mentioned by the Director of the Emergency Clinic at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo, Naser Syla, but he did not answer when asked if the 4-year-old had signs of violence on her body.
From the Regional Directorate of Police in Gjakovë, they have not said more about the case than what is stated in the 24-hour report of the Kosovo Police, while they have not given an answer to the interview of the suspects for beating the minor.
The same was done by the Prosecutor’s Office, where it says: “We inform you that a case of death investigation has been initiated and by the prosecutor’s decision the dead body of the victim has been sent to the IML for an autopsy. In coordination with the police, all actions related to this case are being undertaken.
The mother of the deceased said that her brother denied that his son beat the deceased.
The report of the Institute of Forensic Medicine, where her body was sent for autopsy, is expected to shed light on the case, which has been described as a “death investigation”.
