The 27-year marriage between the leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, and the MP Monika Kryemadhi is coming to an end. The reconciliation session was held today at the Civil Court of Tirana, in which Kryemadhi was absent and was represented only by her defense attorney, Redi Llanaj. Meanwhile, Meta was escorted from his cell in prison 313 to the Civil Court by the Prison Police forces.
Since Kryemadhi was absent from the session even though he had a summons, without any legal reason, leaving the trial in absentia, the Court of Tirana officially announces the dissolution of the marriage.
“Given the interest of the media, I would like to inform you as follows: Today, on 11.04.2025, at 10:30, at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Tirana, Civil Chamber, a reconciliation session was held as well as a court session with the object of marriage dissolution with plaintiff I.M. and defendant M.K., where the plaintiff and his lawyer were present.
