The Court of Appeal has upheld the decision of the Court of First Instance of Berat, for Natasha Rombula and her son, Armando Kumaraku, who are accused of committing the criminal offense “Mistreatment of minors” committed in collaboration.

The 10-year-old, son of Kurmak and grandson of Rombulla, was used by the latter to make money from TikTok, while posting his videos with derogatory and banal words.

Referring to media reports, the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction informs the following: On 17.12.2023, at the Kučovo Police Station, a criminal complaint was filed by the citizen with the initials E. A, who stated that she is divorced from the citizen with the initials A.K and their son during the meeting with his father and grandmother, he saw on the Tiktok live social network, cursing with insulting and banal words in their presence.

The Court of First Instance of Berat General Jurisdiction, the legal evaluation of the detention and the determination of the security measure “arrest in prison”, for the persons under investigation, citizens with the initials A.K and N.R, suspected of committing the criminal offense of “Mistreatment” of minors” carried out in collaboration, provided by article 124/b and 22 of the Criminal Code.

The Court of First Instance of Berat General Jurisdiction, with decision no. 22, dated 22.02.2024, decided:

1. Acceptance of the request of the Prosecution at the Berat Court of First Instance.

2. The evaluation as legal of the detention of persons under investigation A. K and N. R.

3. The assignment as a security measure to the persons under investigation is that of “arrest in prison” provided by Article 238 of the Criminal Code. Criminal.

The appeal case was examined on the basis of the complaints submitted by the persons under investigation with the initials A. K, and N. R, who requested the change of the decision and the assignment of another milder security measure.

At the end of the trial, today on 27.03.2024, the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction, composed of the panel with Judge Mr. Fatri Islamaj decided:

-Approval of decision no. 22, dated 22.02.2024 of the Court of First Instance of Berat General Jurisdiction.
