The Police of Lushnja have referred to the Prosecutor’s Office of Fier the file about the tragic event that happened on Friday morning where two people lost their lives and 7 others were injured, among them the MP of SP, Bujar Çela, in whose business the event happened.
According to the sources, three charges have been officially filed, illegal construction as the facility has deviated from the permit, destruction of property due to carelessness and violation of the rules of protection at work.
The event happened around 16:05 on Friday at the place called “Plasma Circle”, in a warehouse under construction. It is suspected that during the work, the crane operator, driving the crane, accidentally touched the high voltage line and therefore the powerful explosion occurred.
At the time when the explosion occurred, the crane is suspected to have been lifting oxygen cylinders, which were being used for welding.
As a result of the explosion, two people lost their lives, Roland Hoxha and his son, Elidon Hoxha. Roland Hoxha, 55, alias Landi Verçani (he has changed his identity due to documentation), died at the scene, while his son Elidoni died while being transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.
While MP Bujar Çela was also injured, he underwent a surgical intervention, but according to the doctors, his life is out of danger.
